Walk Right In

Shoes - one of the few items of clothing that most of us (apart from a lucky few) can still take the same size in as we age.
They help us work, run, walk, hike, and jump and can often make a fashion statement.

I love boots to wear when going out and I had a lovely pair of cowboy boots that my previous dog took a fancy to. She would "borrow" them at every opportunity and take them outside to play with!! When they got too tatty from her attentions, I let her have them, but then, of course, she didn't want them!!
Since I was a little kid, I always loved running about barefoot inside and outside, but due to a slight flat feet problem, I now have to wear some slip-on shoes around the house with supportive insoles inside. Otherwise, I get foot pain. Oh, the joys of getting older!!

But shoes are a wonderful invention.
They can be practical.

Or things of style and beauty

Or what appear to be instruments of torture!

And even when worn out or outgrown, shoes and boots can have other uses

Do you have a favourite style of footwear? Comfort or fashion first?
Did you ever wear anything outlandish on your feet?
Let's have some fun today sharing all manner of footwear, both old and new, in use or recycled, as well as our normal dose of fun and friendly chat!
