Bonnie Scotland
Today is St Andrew’s Day, who is the patron saint of Scotland, amongst other places!
So, what better day to celebrate the natural beauty of Scotland, its culture, food, music, and people.
And it is a wild and beautiful place, steeped in history, right back to prehistoric times.
Callanish Stones on the Isle Of Lewis
With a wide variety of wildlife on land, in the air, and in the sea!
Red stag
Puffin
Scottish wild cat
Mountain hare
Capercaillie
And, of course, we need some good old Scottish food: cock-a-leekie soup, shortbread, rumbledethumps, laird’s tipsy trifle, cranachan, and the star of the show, haggis, neeps and tatties! Washed down with a wee dram of single malt whisky!
And there is nothing like the skirling of the pipes!
So, this St Andrew’s Day, whether you have some Scottish ancestry or not, let’s celebrate all things Scottish in any way you want!
