Friday The 13th

Spookily, as we near halloween, we have a Friday the 13th in this October.

I am not superstitious and I will happily walk under ladders all day.
It could well be a lucky day for many of us, whether we spill the salt or break a mirror. So it might be the day to go buy a lottery ticket, or place a bet on the horses!
It’s certainly a good day to pet a black cat if you happen to see one. They are usually the loveliest of creatures and don’t deserve their reputation of being unlucky or a personification of evil!

Most superstitions came about centuries ago when the world was less well understood. When mirrors were the portal to another world, and you threw a pinch of salt over your left shoulder if you spilt any to ward off the devil. And I have no idea what standing on the cracks between paving stones is supposed to do!
And it is crazy that there are still people who believe in superstitions all over the world.

Are you a lucky person?
Do you think you can make your own luck?
Today, let’s share the fun side of everything Friday 13th or luck-related, in whatever form you like, as well as our usual friendly chat.

Happy and lucky Friday the 13th, everyone!
