πŸ£πŸ‡ Happy EasterπŸ₯šπŸ‘

Yes, Easter has arrived, and what a colourful time this is, with painted eggs, spring flowers in bloom, and the message of hope that this Christian festival brings, with the resurrection of Christ three days after his crucifixion on Good Friday.

But alongside the Christian traditions, the time that is now called Easter was also a pagan festival before that, when the rebirth of the natural world was celebrated.
It is from this time that we have Easter eggs (traditionally, they were real eggs that were painted), the Easter Chick and the Easter Bunny (originally, a hare). These all symbolised the new life springing up everywhere.

And some symbols of Easter span both secular and Christian, such as lambs - a sign of new spring life and also the Lamb Of God.

And, of course, there are always new additions to Easter fun, such as Easter gnomes!

So, today, let’s celebrate all things Easter, both Christian and secular, by sharing any gifs, images, music or videos that you wish, as well as our usual friendly fun and chat.

Happy Easter, everyone!
