🐴🐎Horse Rescue Day🐴🐎

Today is Horse Rescue Day, and it is such a shame we actually need one. The number of horses rescued every day is hundreds and growing. This wasn't the case years ago, but now we live in a world where things have changed, and they are often treated with neglect and abuse. Some rescues are people who are honest enough to say I can't afford to keep it. They are expensive animals to keep and need looking after. 

We celebrate today to encourage people to help out by either donating, a small amount will help, often the price of a cup of coffee and sarnie out, and to appreciate these lovely animals. 

They have been our friends and companions for countless years, worked for us, fought for us and died for us, and we have no right to treat them as we do.

To celebrate today, show your appreciation for these creatures, who through no fault of their own are now having to be rescued.  Make a small donation, or if you are lucky enough, as I am, to have a Horse Rescue Sanctuary near you so visit them and go see the horses—they love company—and let's try and put an end to needless neglect and cruelty.
