π€βItβs Brainteaser Month π€β
Well, January is Brainteaser month, and not only should you keep your body healthy, but we need to exercise our brain as well, which doesn't always mean doing exams or trying to learn something different. We can do it in another way, and that is through puzzles.
There are all sorts of puzzles around which can challenge our brain and make it work. Even things like a jigsaw, and most people like doing those. They are great to do and are best if you have the room to do one and leave it to add a few pieces at a time, or you can buy a fold up jigsaw mat. You can do them on line but they tend to be small and anything under a 1000 pieces to my mind is no challenge.
Other puzzles include crosswords, cryptic, or general knowledge ones, although to do a cryptic one you need a weird mind. These are readily available online or in books, and they vary in difficulty.
There are puzzle books, including criss-cross puzzles, word search, logic puzzles and all sorts of different puzzles. Some are general puzzles as well, which I think is more fun.
These sort of puzzles do give the brain a good work out and make you think
If you really want a brain teaser, buy a rubikβs cube and see if you can still solve it. I never did.
There are also all sorts of wooden puzzles which you can do over and over again.
Also, everybody has a pack of cards in the house so why not have a game of patience?
So, nobody can ever say they have nothing to do, or Iβm bored.
If you are into puzzles, the cheapest way is to subscribe to a newspaper, and this gives you endless amounts of any sort of puzzle you could ever dream about.
Do you do puzzles, and if so, what sort?
Do you buy puzzle books, which are expensive, or buy newspapers, again which are expensive, or do you do them online?
So, let's give our brain a workout and have some fun with all sorts of puzzles, along with our usual friendly chit chat!
