There is no end of life beneath the waves, some we know of, but others are still being discovered in the depths, where some animals can survive in total darkness and at huge pressures.

And who can deny the beauty and diversity of a coral reef?

But so much of life in the seas and oceans are threatened by pollution from our bodily waste, including medicines and synthetic hormones, plastic pollution, overfishing, damage caused by deep-sea trawling, and being killed or injured by lost or discarded fishing equipment.
It would be a shame to lose the world of life beneath the waves, as well as catastrophic for us and the other creatures that depend on the ecosystem of the seas.

Today, letโ€™s share images and gifs of some of the weird and wonderful residents of the seas and oceans, as well as our usual friendly fun and chat!
