Trains

I am sure most of us have travelled by train at least once in our lives.
It’s a very expensive way to travel now, here in the UK, but it is still one of my favourite ways to travel. You get to enjoy the passing scenery with no worries about driving, navigating, or stopping for comfort breaks or food. It’s all there for you! Need to get up and stretch your legs - not a problem!
The only downfall would be if there was a problem and you missed a connection.

But, these days, some can get you to your destination very quickly indeed!

And other than simply being a way to get from A to B, there are some wonderful train journeys around the world that are experiences in themselves!
Steam trains are certainly a very special way to travel.

Some people like something on a smaller scale, like model railways.

Some famous people like Rod Stewart and Jools Holland have had huge model railway layouts. Rod’s took him 23 years to build, but it is incredible!
