World Animal Day

World Animal Day occurs on the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, a man who loved and appreciated all living creatures.
It gives all humans the opportunity to pay more attention to the other animals who share this planet and to show appreciation for them as he did.

World Animal Day is an annual celebration of all things furry in which people remember the vital role that animals have to play in the world, as well as the people who devote their lives to working to protect and care for them, whether that is wild animals, farm animals, or pets waiting for their forever homes in shelters.

World Animal Day is an ideal time for humans to speak on behalf of those animals who cannot speak for themselves, so it is a great day to get involved with various charitable organisations that fight against treating animals badly.
Maybe a time to go and volunteer to help when you can at a local shelter or animal charity, feeding, exercising or just giving the animals a bit of love and attention.
And it’s always a good day to make sure we don’t use products tested on animals.
