Today is Carousel Day, and who hasn’t seen or ridden on one of those lovely painted horses at some point in their lives?
The carousel, or merry-go-round, can be found at many theme parks and most travelling fairs.

But there are so many other rides to choose from, some only if you have a head for heights or a strong stomach: big dipper, the Ferris wheel, dodgems, helter-skelter, pirate ship, ghost train, etc.
And all the side shows like the coconut shy, test your strength, shooting ducks, and great food like burgers, hot dogs and candy floss.

Not for me!!

A good excuse to get a little closer to someone!!

Need a good head for heights on one of these!!

A good eye and aim are required!!

A safer alternative for the less adventurous fairgoer!!
