Are you one of these people that can never find anything cos your desk, filing cabinets etc. etc. are in a mess.?
Do you miss appointments cos you write them on a bit of paper and lose the piece of paper?
Being organised may take a bit longer to do, but it saves you a lot of time in the long run, and maybe then important documents, receipts etc. wouldn't get lost.
Being organised doesn't just refer to work or your office at home either, it covers things like your wardrobe and drawers. How many times have you looked for something you wanted to wear and can't find it? Think of the time wasted looking.
It also covers things like garages, sheds, workshops, kitchen cupboards, etc. and the same applies - a lot of time is wasted looking for things that have been put in the wrong place.
The other way to organise your life is to have a to-do list - buy a cheap notepad and make notes of things that have to be done that day.
Plan your menus in advance, and that ensures you have what you need for the meal, and do a shopping list, and then you don't forget anything.
Then, of course, there is your computer!
Do you keep stuff in files or is it just downloaded and put anywhere in the hope you will find it when needed?
Your email inbox - don't let them build up, reply and delete unless wanted.
So if you are drowning in chaos, today may be a good day to rethink the whole thing and start being organised. It does make life easier.
