🧦🧦It’s Odd Socks Day🧦🧦

Gone are the days when you would die of embarrassment if you were caught wearing odd socks. They are now considered common place and a fun fashion trend. Some manufacturers even put 2 odd socks deliberately in a pack for sale!  Now that is what I call good thinking.

Odd Socks Day was founded in 2017 at the start of anti-bullying week to raise awareness about bullying at school for being different and to make kids comfortable with being different.

A lot of well-known celebs have become involved in it by wearing odd socks, like Ant and Dec, Victoria Beckham, and Emma Willis, to name a few.

Apart from the bullying aspect, nobody really cares these days if you wear odd socks or not, and there are many reasons for wearing them.  The main one being the Sock Monster, who seems to exist in all washing machines and tumble dryers. You never get out the same number of socks you have put in, believe me!  Nobody knows where they go, and they are never found again!
The other reason for wearing odd socks is that you have gotten a hole in one sock, and why bin a perfectly good sock? So match it up with another odd one. It doesn't even have to be the same colour.

The Sock Monster

I know that feeling!!

If you don't like the idea of the Sock Monster or wearing odd socks through having to throw one away, a tip is to buy all your socks the same colour, and then whatever happens, you will have a matching pair.

Today of all days, wear odd socks proudly and show them off.

Today, let's talk about odd socks, the Sock Monster, and whether you wear odd socks or not. Then, post all things sock-related!
