I think most people like the colour red; it represents so many things. 

Red is a primary colour along with blue and yellow. They cannot be made by mixing colours together, although you can make different shades of the colours by doing so. 

Red is the colour of blood, so historically, it has been associated with danger, sacrifice and courage. We now associate it with a lot more things, such as anger, love, passion, sexuality, heat and joy. 

There are many things outdoors painted red. Over here, we had red telephone boxes and red post boxes for a start.

Sadly not so many now as they have been replaced with modern stuff

Red is used for carpets, furniture, cushions and paint work, to mention a few. 

One of the best things about red for me is it is used for clothes, and I always feel happy when wearing red. Not forgetting red lipsticks, and nail varnish. It is also used for underwear!

In nature, some animals are red, as are flowers, so you see red plays an important part in our lives, and sometimes we don't realise.

Who doesn’t love receiving red roses?

The Red Wolf is one of the most critically endangered.

 There are some sayings as well using the word red. Red sky at night shepherds delight Red sky in the morning shepherds warning. Seeing Red when you are angry. Caught Red-handed. Paint the town Red, to name a few.
