🏃♂️➡️🏃➡️🏃♀️Walking & Running🚶♀️➡️🚶🚶♂️➡️
We all walk and sometimes run, especially if we are late for a train, bus etc. etc. But how often do we walk or run somewhere pleasant for a nice relaxing time out?
I am always surprised by how many people run or walk on the road. I live a quarter mile off the road on a disused railway track. It is very pleasant for walking, running, or horse riding, but there are quite a few people who run, etc., on the road.
They say running /walking is good for you, and I agree, there is nothing like a nice walk on a warm summer’s day or even a nice winter’s day if wrapped up well. Even a short walk clears your head and makes you feel much better. And you don’t need to rush your walk either; take time to notice what is around you.
Some facts about walking and running:
Improve cardiovascular and pulmonary fitness.
Reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes.
Manage conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and joint pain.
Strengthen bones and muscles.
Improve balance and coordination.
Increase muscle strength and endurance and reduce body fat.
There is nothing nicer than going out for a while each day and taking your dog with you. It's fun for both!
Today, let’s post all things walking/running related—pics, gifs, music, etc.—and let us know if you do either and whether it is for pleasure or necessity.
